Doncaster Rape & Sexual Abuse Counselling Service

New Facilities Shine Through

DRASACS Board Member David Lister showed his artistic side this week, adding a little bit of sunshine to our newly developed counselling and play therapy facilities.

Created by redeveloping the basement area of our town centre premises, and funded by Coalfields Regeneration Trust, the new facilities will particularly benefit younger children. Included in the redevelopment are a specialist creative therapy room and a waiting room for parents and carers, as well as a multi-purpose room suitable for counselling, group work and meetings.

David, a Solicitor specialising in Family Law at local firm Taylor Bracewell said:

“I really enjoy volunteering as a Board Member at DRASACS as the organisation does such important work. Being able to make an extra contribution to the new facilities for children who have been abused is very satisfying; I hope our clients like the view!”

We certainly think David has done a fantastic job and everyone at DRASACS would like to say a big thank you to David for all his hard work and effort.
