Doncaster Rape & Sexual Abuse Counselling Service

DRASACS Celebrates Success at Prestigious Awards Ceremony

We are delighted to announce that Doncaster Rape & Sexual Abuse Counselling Service (DRASACS) has won the Third Sector Award, sponsored by Doncaster CVS, at the prestigious Doncaster Chamber Business Awards.

Held at Doncaster Racecourse around 700 guests attended the event, with BBC Breakfast’s Business Reporter Stephanie McGovern hosting the awards. DRASACS has made a number of significant developments this year, including opening a brand new £40,000 extension to its facilities which will allow specialist services to be provided to children who have been abused.

Speaking about the award the Manager of DRASACS, said:

“This is tremendous news. All of our staff and board members are delighted that DRASACS has been recognised for its work in Doncaster this year. But what is most important to us, is that the issue of rape and sexual abuse continues to be highlighted and that victims and their family members receive the support that they need to move forward with their lives.

“In our 25th anniversary year, I’d particularly like to thank everyone who has supported DRASACS since we were established. We look forward to continuing these excellent partnerships and working hard to support the people who need our help.”
